Playgroup: 7:15 am to 12 noon. School routes, for children taking this service, depart at 12:10 pm. Kinder 1: 7:15 am to 11:40 am. Extracurricular activities are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 3:05 pm. Children taking extracurriculars eat lunch at the school on those two days. Kinder 2: 7:15 am to 11:40 am, except on Mondays when they finish at 3:05 pm. Extracurricular activities are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:40 pm to 3:05 pm, on those days children who take extracurriculars have lunch at the school .

How does the School Coexistence work at the School?

School coexistence is the responsibility of the entire educational community. This is why students, teachers and parents play a fundamental role in both prevention and promotion. Timely attention to coexistence situations is possible thanks to procedures and protocols defined in the Coexistence Manual. In addition, there is permanent support from the School Support Unit (UAE) psychologists. Teachers receive continuous training to develop and promote skills such as self-regulation, cooperation, mediation and conflict resolution, communication [... ].

Students are mixed in Playgroup and start learning the immersion language in half groups. Then, from Kinder 1, they work in "Immersion Tandem" and the German (A) and French (B) sections are separated. From the beginning of the school year, students from both sections have the opportunity to integrate in spaces such as Cultural Week, Project Week, sports teams, extracurricular activities, among others. From 5th grade onwards, they are integrated into English classes and from 7th grade onwards in other classes such as Spanish, mathematics, priority subjects (MP) and complementary subjects [ ...].

Helvetia School offers extracurricular activities for each level starting in Kindergarten, chosen according to age, student interests and the parameters of the Institutional Educational Project. Some of the most successful are karate, artistic gymnastics, swimming, skating, English and robotics. Each semester the offer is renewed and the opening of an extracurricular activity is subject to a minimum enrollment.

Does the College conduct admission processes for courses other than Playgroup?

The only admission process that the school carries out in general (for Colombian, Swiss and other nationalities) is for the Playgroup. For the other levels, other requirements must be fulfilled, among which it is indispensable to have knowledge of another language (German or French) in addition to Spanish, and must also prove proficiency in other subjects depending on the course to which he/she aspires. The possibility of starting the admission process to other courses is subject to availability of places.
