educationsuisse

educationsuisse was founded in 1942 as the "Committee for the Support of Swiss Schools Abroad", later renamed "Committee for Swiss Schools Abroad" until 1 January 2012 when it was renamed simply "educationsuisse".

The Association for the Educational Assistance of Young Swiss Abroad (AJAS) was founded in 1962. Until 1989, the organisation's headquarters were in Zurich in pro juventute, after which it moved to Bern and was integrated into the administrative structure of the OSA.

On 1 January 2014, AJAS merged with educationsuisse, joining forces and resources. educationsuisse works in the interests of the 18 Swiss schools abroad and from now on benefits from the experience that ajas has accumulated in advising young Swiss abroad on career and education issues in Switzerland.
